Maruyama Park (visit 6)

Cold day at 3 degrees Centigrade, yet sunny; so I headed out early to meet up with the Sapporo Group in Maruyama Park. There were a good number of people, so everyone divided up into 2 groups. As well, today there was a man near the bridge between the ponds, stacking up sunflower seeds on the posts. So…many kinds of the Tit family birds, and the Eurasian Nuthatch were flying back and forth from the trees feeding on the seeds. Today was my first time to see male and female Red Crossbills. Their activity reminded me of the Japanese waxwings I saw in May.
